Practice owners Rachel and Hamish Duncan and the team at 387 Vets in Walsall, have been accredited as a Platinum Investors in People (IiP) organisation for a third time.
The IiP framework assesses how well organisations perform at leading, supporting, and improving at individual, sub-team, and whole-team level. It does this by addressing 9 key indicators and 27 specific markers.
Following much evidence generation, multiple zoom meetings, an in-depth team survey, a day of face-to-face team interviews, a site visit, and a presentation to the IiP panel, 387 Vets are delighted to be ranked high performing in all areas, significantly exceeding IiP-accredited organisation average scores across the board.
A great place to work
On receiving their report, Clinical Director Hamish Duncan said, “We started our IiP journey back in 2012 to improve internal systems and processes in a relatively new business and because we’re passionate about creating a place where people are happy, motivated and proud to wear the 387 uniform. We are thrilled that our 2024 IiP report identified that 100% of our team believe 387 Vets is a great place to work”.
Contributing to culture
Rachel Duncan, Practice Manager and Non-Clinical Director had this to say, “To know that all team members have such a strong connection to our workplace culture, regardless of their length of service, and feel that they are empowered contributors to 387’s ongoing success, is a huge achievement in itself”.
Operations Manager, Jo Civil added, “It’s lovely that a business that has such a family feel has received such a significant internationally recognised award. It shows how much Hamish and Rachel genuinely care about every single person and reflects all the years of investment in creating the workplace environment that is us.”
Outstanding leadership
Vet Dynamics business Consultant Dr Gemma Barmby, has been working with owners Rachel and Hamish Duncan since 2022, and had this to say; “Rachel and Hamish are dedicated to their team, always looking for ways to provide further support and development opportunities. At the core of what they do is a focus aimed at creating an environment of excellence, and that begins with the team. Their re-accreditation with Investors in People and the fantastic comments from the 387 team members, are a testament to their continued hard work and dedication – something I know will remain a priority and a constant”.
