PROGRAMME DURATION & FORMAT
The Platinum Academy follows a 10 module syllabus and includes full access to all the Vet Dynamics tools and resources, for accelerated advancement. In addition to the modules, which are covered at your Platinum group meetings, CPD at our members events are also included.
In-person and virtual Platinum groups are available; something to suit everyone’s situation and location. Each group consists of around 10 non-competing, like-minded practice owner / managers – all experiencing similar challenges, frustrations and successes.
1:1 coaching calls occur once a month at a time that suits you. Your PMS and financial reviews are quarterly. Again, you choose a time that suits you. Your coach, your peers and the Vet Dynamics team are always on hand between those times, should you need us.

MODULES
Module 1 – Strategy & Planning
In this module you’ll analyse the business, your life goals and take a view on the profession wide challenges. You’ll learn planning strategies and create your short and long term personal and professional plans.
Module 2 – Time & Energy
In this module you’ll understand the true cost of poor time management and the pressure and overwhelm this creates. You’ll learn simple methods that have a big impact, allowing you to re establish control over the ‘stuff’ you need to get done.
Module 3 – Finance, Debt & Stock Control
In this module, you’ll learn fundamental business accounting and the importance of reviewing these to maintain financial health. Exploring cost control, budgeting and cashflow management, you’ll set a plan to implement improved systems around credit, debt and stock control.
Module 4 – Leadership & Communication
In this module you’ll learn the different features, and benefits and effects of management and of leadership on your teams engagement and performance. You’ll explore new perspectives on communication, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and assertiveness.
Module 5 – Veterinary Marketing
In this module you’ll understand all the areas within your business that contribute to good marketing. You’ll identify and determine how your practice will optimise it’s digital presence in an ever evolving technological environment. And how you can stay ahead of the competition!
Module 6 – Profit & Performance
In this module you’ll reflect and revise the 1 year plans you set at module 1, and celebrate the successes! You’ll assess numerous areas of the business that potentially ‘leak’ profits and create an action plan to address them.
Module 7 – Communication & Consultation
In this module you’ll learn to read the needs of your team through different styles of listening. You’ll develop natural coaching skills to help your team reach their full potential. And you’ll explore the benefits of all these new skills in the consult room.
Module 8 – Attraction, Recruitment & Retention
In this module you’ll learn ways you can attract, bond and retain top talent in your team. You’ll learn common pitfalls to avoid (or rectify) in the recruitment and selection process, and the importance of health and wellbeing in practice.
Module 9 – Team Performance Management
In this module you’ll take a deep dive into motivation and team engagement. There are two goals for this module: to provide strategies to those supervising others in the team and to equip them with effective tools to solve any issues that arise.
Module 10 – The Customer Journey
In this module you’ll view some of the topics from your Marketing Module with a client focused perspective. You’ll explore how culture, continuous quality improvement processes and your practice environment affect your client journey. Then you’ll build a plan to improve it.

Platinum for my leadership team
My practice leadership team are currently partaking in the Vet Dynamics Platinum Academy, and I can highly recommend it from a practice management/financial point of view, as well as the inspiration and insights that it provides, along with the connections it provides to other practice leaders who are experiencing the same up and downs that you are.
The results are proof that it’s worth it!
Albert was recommended to Vet Dynamics by a Veterinary Colleague, but for several years hesitated about ‘taking the plunge’. We finally dived in 2+ years ago with Platinum and have now moved onto the Mastermind Programme. Albert has gained all the knowledge and support to achieve his business objectives and is extremely grateful for his friend’s perseverance (on more than one occasion!) in recommending Vet Dynamics. It requires commitment and hard work to fully take advantage of what Vet Dynamics offer. But the results are the proof that it’s worth it. A great deal of fun is always had on the courses with likeminded vets in a supportive environment – everyone has a lot of laughs along the way together.
The Platinum and Mastermind programmes give a sense of camaraderie, in what can otherwise be a lonely journey for independent vets like Albert. On occasions, I have joined the course with Albert and have seen the dedication of the Vet Dynamics team as well as the sharing of ideas among all the vets on the course. I just wanted to say a massive thank you.
I won’t go into details as its far too long to type but I dealt with a situation here last week concerning members of the team which had turned into a major problem. Everyone was unhappy including me. We managed to workshop the problem however and turn things around completely. I honestly do not believe I would have been able to do this as well as I did, or achieved the outcome that we achieved as a team, without the bigger picture. If I hadn’t been coming to Platinum Academy, I never would have had the confidence to resolve things so easily. Thanks for being heroes!
Platinum has changed both of us
We are both re-invigorated and excited by the prospects of managing our practice well. We now have the tools and (some of!) the skills to face the challenges ahead and will continue to develop those skills.
