Active Client Growth
This KPI shows how active your client base is using the number of new registrations over the past 12months.
Active Patient growth
This KPI shows how active your patient base is using the number of new registrations over the past 12months.
Anaesthetics per Consult
This KPI is a proxy for how many cases are having surgical work up. Not including sedations, neutering or dentals.
Annual Revenue per Client
This KPI shows how much clients have spent over the last 12 months.
Annual Transactions per Client
The average number of transactions per Client. One “transaction” encompasses all items billed on the PMS within a 24hour period.
Average Transaction Value
This KPI shows how much on average a client spends per visit to the practice.
Clients buying Diets (%)
The percentage of clients that have purchased food from the practice.
Clients having Dentals (%)
The percentage of active clients whose animals have had dental work over the last 12months. This percentage can be roughly compared to the percentage of the pet population in the UK that surveys reveal would benefit from dental procedures.
Clients Using Flea Control (%)/Clients Using Worm Control (%)
The percentage of active clients who have bought parasite control for one/some/all of their animals over the last 12months. NB. Combo parasite products are counted as flea treatment.
Clients with Vaccinated Animals (%)
The percentage of active clients who have vaccinated one/some/all of their animals over the last 12months.
Consultation Fee Average (£)
This is the average (mean) fee for a consultation with a vet. This is just the consultation fee itself (i.e. no further work/medication).
Hospitalisations per Consult (%)
This KPI indicates the number of cases that need close medical monitoring.
Imaging % Total Revenue
The KPI indicates revenue generated from x-rays, ultrasounds and endoscopies (and CT/MRI) as a percentage of total revenue.
Imaging per Consult
This KPI counts the number of x-rays, ultrasounds and endoscopies (and CT/MRI) to indicate the proactive investigation of cases.
Lab Work % of Total Revenue
The revenue generated from lab work both internal and external as a percentage of total revenue.
Lab Work per Consult (%)
This KPI counts the number of transactions for laboratory work and indicates the proactive medical investigation of cases.
New Clients (%)
This KPI compares the number of new client registration in the last 12 months to the previous 12 month period.
Hospitalisations % Total Revenue
The revenue generated from the hospitalisation of patients as a percentage of total revenue.
Revenue Growth
This KPI is the financial income growth compared to the same month for the prior year.
Revenue per Consult
The Total Revenue divided by Total Number of Consults. This doesn’t include Pre or Post Op Consults or PHP Consults. Total Revenue does include income from your Pet Health Plan (if applicable)
Subsequent Consults per Initial Consult
This KPI indicates the follow up rate of cases for case management. Based on vet consults only.
Transaction Growth (%)
This KPI shows how much work you are doing- an indicator of “busyness”.
