CMA and Market Update

By Vicky Robinson

Following the CMA investigations, the corporate acquisitions market has changed quite dramatically. Buying criteria must be based not only on practice ownership, but also FTVE in a given radius. This has slowed the buying procedure and, in some cases, made it risky or even impossible to acquire. If you would like to know more or speak confidentially about your practice or this matter in general, please contact vicky@vetdynamics.co.uk.

Whilst this isn’t the best news if you were hoping for big corporate money for your practice, it has reopened opportunity for independent ownership and partnership. We have been thrilled to have passed on several clinics into independent hands and have other clinics for sale and partnership opportunities around the country and in Ireland. Please contact lara@vetdynamics.co.uk for more information.

Vet partnerships.

  • Opportunities currently exist in: Chester, Lancashire, North London, Sligo (Ireland) and Suffolk. These practices – whilst open in terms of investment – are looking specifically for vets that want to work in the practice as an owner, not veterinary investors.
  • Equine vet partner required for a practice based in Carmarthen.

Small Animal practices for sale.

  • We currently have practices for sale, that wish to remain independent, based in: Bradford, Leeds, Ireland (County Mayo), and coming soon, Suffolk and Portsmouth.
